Dr. Lang received her BA from Brown University and graduated Magna Cum Laude with honors in Psychology. She attended the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine, where she earned honors in many courses and clinical clerkships, along with admittance to Alpha Omega Alpha Honors Medical Society. Additionally, she received the Kenneth Appel Psychiatry Award, and earned an American Women’s Medical Scholarship Citation.
Following graduation from medical school, Dr. Lang completed her Internship at Pennsylvania Hospital in Philadelphia, and her Psychiatry Residency at The Institute of Pennsylvania Hospital. She received awards for Outstanding work in Group Psychotherapy as well as the Glenn Cairn Award for outstanding research and case formulation.
Upon completion of Residency training, Dr. Lang joined Monmouth Medical Center (MMC) as a Psychiatrist to Women’s Services. At MMC she was a consultant to the Jacqueline Wilentz Breast Center and to the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology as well as an instructor to Primary Care and Medical Residents.
Dr. Lang continues to keep up with the latest advances in psychiatric medications and cutting edge treatments by engaging in a diverse program of Continuing Medical Education. She is Board Certified in Psychiatry & Neurology by the American Board of Medical Specialties. Dr. Lang is licensed to practice medicine in the following states:
Currently, Dr. Lang sees patients in a private practice setting in Ocean Township (Monmouth County), New Jersey. She maintains courtesy staff privileges at Monmouth Medical Center in Long Branch, New Jersey and is a long time supporter of the Cancer Support Community (formerly The Wellness Community), now based at Monmouth Medical Center.
Dr. Lang was a Patient’s Choice Award recipient for 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2014 and 2016 and was recognized with the Compassionate Doctor Award in 2010, 2011, 2012, 2014 and 2016.
